【摘要】:ThisguideprovidesproceduresfortheinstallationofDWVpipinginbuildingsthatarebuiltwheresoilconditionsrequiretheuseofpierorpilingsupportedgradebeamconstructionorinfilledgroundwherethesoilcompactionislessthan95%.TheseproceduresareintendedtoensurethattheDWVpipingsuspendedfromtheongradeconcreteslabsisnotdamagedordestroyedbymovementofthesoilorfillundertheslabafterthebuildingiscompletedandoccupied.Inthistypeofconstruction,theareawithinthegradebeamsisfilledwithsoiluptoalevelthatallowstheconcreteslabtobepoureddirectlyonthefillwithoutasupportingform.Inthisprocessthesanitarywastepipingisinstalledbytrenchingintothefill,andthenputtinghangerswithsupportrodsonthepipesastheyareinstalled.Thehangerrodsextendingupwardmustbelongenoughsothatthetopoftherodwillbeembeddedinandanchoredintheconcrete.Thehangerrodsareintendedtoprovideadequatestrengthandcorrosionresistancetoassurelongtermservice.Thedetailsofinstallationareintendedtoensurethattherodsremainvertical,thattheyextendintotheconcreteanadequateamountandthattheupperendsareterminatedsothattheyhaveadequate"pullout"strength.Thedetailsofbackfillareintendedtolimitorminimizetheloadsontheasuspendedpiping.Theseloadsresultfromconsolidationormovementofthesoil/fillbeneaththeslab.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
