【摘要】:Thissectionprovidesrequirementsforallmethodsofconstructionofpower,electric,andminiatureboilers;hightemperaturewaterboilersusedinstationaryservice;andpowerboilersusedinlocomotive,portable,andtractionservice.RulespertainingtouseoftheV,A,M,PP,SandECodesymbolstampsarealsoincluded.Therulesareapplicabletoboilersinwhichsteamorothervaporisgeneratedatapressuresexceeding15psig,andhightemperaturewaterboilersintendedforoperationatpressuresexceeding160psigand/ortemperaturesexceeding250degreeF.Superheaters,economizers,andotherpressurepartsconnecteddirectlytotheboilerwithoutinterveningvalvesareconsideredaspartofthescopeofSection1.Thispublicationisissuedwithanautomaticaddendaservice.Alladdendaservicepublicationsareissuedinlooseleafformattofacilitatelaterinsertionofreplacementpageswhichincorporatethelatestapprovedchangestothestandard.PurchasersmaywishtopurchaseabinderfromASME(BPVCBinder),butthepublicationwillalsofitastandardthreeringbinder.Detailsonthespecificsoftheaddendaserviceareasfollows:
